Nightshade queen in velvet bloom

But I drank you down anyway

I was always meant to taste

to find my own cure

You taught me

how to sleep with shadows

how to bloom in darkness

How to swim

In the ocean

Of my pain

You made me a Gardner

Of a moonlit oasis

Filled with both life

And that which is called

Death

A cycle

Of moonbeams

Contracting

Expanding

Becoming the Queen

I have always been

A goddess of midnight

Blooming

No longer dreaming

Of what I could be

Allowing my power to rise

Reaching for the moon

In the garden

Of my truth
