Gravity

Gravity. What goes up must come down. Gravity is a true representation of unconditional love. It doesn’t judge your life or character, to decide whether or not you stay on the ground or jump and come back down. It just is.

A game of trust

I exist
therefore
I am

You don't question my existence
yet you doubt your own

Why?

I do not ask anything of you
I just hold you
as you choose to be held

My pull offers resistance
so you can fly

It is no matter to me
that you condemn me 
for every trip and fall

You stand 
because I am

And still
you don't see the reflection of you
within me

Are you not also gravity?
Do you not call to you 
that which you desire?

It is true
that perception can become skewed 
by beliefs that carry fear

But your dreams still carry on
reminding you of every possibility
even while you wash them in doubt

Why not trust yourself
the way you trust me
to keep you grounded
and show you the height 
of what is possible

Leap
I will catch you

But don't leap in fear or despair
            Leap in hope
                      Leap in love
                                Leap in exhilaration
for everything the 
                                     wind 
                                                        carries
as you feel it 
kiss 
        your 
                  skin

tether yourself
in the strength of nature
and know 
that even if you fall
you 
        cannot
                         die
