Extraction in Oralville
“It’s a balmy 98.6°f this evening in Oralville, the mayor has issued a warning to avoid the outskirts, as it is currently experiencing a heatwave, and the structures are crumbling. The plaque invaders have taken over two of the structures completely, making their way into the water system. An alert was sent to the president to request aid, but there has been a delay in communication.”

“It’s been eight months since the first structure went down. The mayor has done her best to try and convince the president to help. Unfortunately, the president says it’s a matter of finance.
The neighboring villages are starting to feel the heat from our invasion. Structures are beginning to crumble, from Circularé to Adrenal Village, they are showing signs of disruption. Hopefully soon, the president will decide our little village is worthy of her attention and support.”

“Today is the day! The invaders have made a home in the center of Circularé, and are now causing problems for the president directly. She has no choice but to listen to us. We’ve been shouting for months about the turmoil we’re experiencing, but all she did was send more street cleaners, and guards she calls “Supplements”. They are nice, but they don’t do much to keep out invaders, or help the structures that are already collapsing.
The president sent out an announcement saying enforcements were incoming. Now we wait.”

“The arrival of the enforcements was a bit confusing at first. They came in and took pictures of the damage, making sure to get every angle. The primary invaders were identified, and a plan was hatched for removal.
The president took charge of the financial matter, and the troops got to work!
A blinding light illuminated the town. It was like a sunny day without shade, that highlited every imperfection of our tiny town. They came in and prepared the ground by injecting a solution that put the root structures to sleep.
After they were sure everyone was resting soundly, they began with the structure that sat on the far right of the northern neighborhood. It shook the whole area! They brought out drills and strange picks, that scraped and sent screeching sounds so loud, the president almost regretted agreeing to accept their help.
Once that structure was removed, and the vacant lot was cleaned up, they moved onto the structure on the opposite side of the northern neighborhood. After a quick test, they discovered that the root system wasn’t quite asleep, so they injected another dose of the sleeping agent, and talked about their evening plans while they waited.
That structure was stubborn. While the other one came out rather easily, this one had to be taken out piece by piece. Some of the flying debris flew so far, they almost ended up in Esophagea! Thankfully, these troops were good at their jobs and managed to make sure everything was cleaned up and came out as it was supposed to.
With the structures removed, they placed some kind of protective shield in the vacant spaces where they once stood. A rope was tied over both sides, and the town breathed a sigh of relief.”

“It’s been a day since extraction, and the town is still a bit tender. The mayor has ordered no hard labor for at least a week, and she has scheduled a follow up visit with the enforcement team to make sure all is still well.
The team left us with some medical equipment that is already beginning to help improve things here. Although, some of the neighboring towns are a little frustrated having to deal with the runoff it’s leaving in its wake.
All in all, Oralville is on the mend. Our little town is feeling better than it has in months, and we look forward to life returning to some semblance of normal very soon.”
